ISO means International Organization for Standardization. It is a non-governmental organization that is present in about 120 countries. This organization was founded in 1947 in Geneva and its main objective is to standardize and approve international standards in all technical fields (technical standards), country classifications, standards of procedures and processes, etc. In Brazil, ISO is represented by ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards).
